US Natural Gamma Undecalactone is widely used in edible flavors and tobacco flavors. It is naturally present in dairy products such as coconut and milk, and is obtained by lactonizing 2-hexylcyclopentanone.
Appearance: colorless to light yellow liquid.
Aroma: strong creamy fat smell, peach-like fragrance. It has a stronger peach aroma than peach aldehyde.
Specific gravity (25/25℃): 0.956-0.961.
Refractive index (20℃): 1.457~1.461.
Boiling point: 152-155°C (1400Pa).
Flash point: 159℃.
Solubility: Slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, propylene glycol and other spices.
Stability: It is stable in acidic medium, but unstable in alkaline medium, and does not cause discoloration.
